What the Attendances app does.
A red or green indicator in the top bar lets users check in and out; it shows the check-in time, time elapsed and today's total.
A dedicated device, opened from a unique URL without logging in, handles check-in by badge (barcode or RFID, via camera or scanner), by name or department search, or both.
A personal PIN can be required once the employee is selected; the screen then shows a welcome message on arrival, or a goodbye with the day's hours on departure.
Extra hours are computed with two tolerances, one in the company's favour and one in the employee's, then approved automatically or by the manager; they can then be deducted from time off.
Managers approve or refuse each attendance, can accept only part of the extra hours, fix times (worked time is recalculated) and can convert hours into time off.
A forgotten check-out is closed automatically per the schedule, after a buffer; an entry open over 24 h or a period over 16 h shows in red.
Each attendance keeps the IP address, GPS coordinates, browser, city and country, with a map to view the location.
An option logs absences with no time off request; reports filter people at work, errors and automatic check-outs, by employee, department, manager, method or period.
