Odoo Maintenance
Preventive and corrective: machines that keep running, breakdowns that cost less.
Each piece of equipment has its record and history; preventive work is planned in the calendar and can block the work center; a breakdown is reported from the shop floor. Odoo computes, in days, the mean time between failures and the mean time to repair.
What the Maintenance app does.
Category, vendor and model, serial number, warranty expiration date, work center, team and technician.
Preventive requests, with duration and recurrence, in the maintenance calendar.
A request on a work center can block it: no work order is planned there for the expected duration (Block Workcenter).
Request from the shop floor tablet, by e-mail or by hand; tracked by stage up to "repaired".
Maintenance teams, responsible technicians, priority of each request.
Mean time between failures, mean time to repair, latest failure, estimated next failure (MTBF, MTTR).
Instructions attached to the request (PDF, slides, text) and custom maintenance worksheets.
Requests in list, calendar, pivot or graph, by equipment, team or type.
A pellet press over 2,000 hours
Fictitious example: four breakdowns of 6, 10, 4 and 8 hours, and three planned preventive jobs. Worked out in running hours, to price the downtime; Odoo itself computes MTBF and MTTR in days from corrective requests.
The settings that matter.
The work center then shows its equipment's MTBF, MTTR and next failure, and preventive work can block it.
Bearings, dies, belts: Inventory items with a Min / Max rule and their vendor.
Lost output × margin, plus repairs: the price to compare with preventive work.
