Odoo for industry and chemicals
A plant runs in one Odoo database: purchasing inputs, receiving materials, shop-floor manufacturing, quality control, packaging, delivery and invoicing follow one another with no re-keying, and every step feeds the cost price and the OHADA accounts.
Senedoo adds what Odoo does not know: payroll under the industry agreements (chemicals, food, mechanics, textiles…), Senegalese returns, the morning dashboards — output, margin, cash — and order taking over WhatsApp.
SICI (bricks and building materials) and Afric Azote (fish meal and fish oil) produce this way in Senegal.
From purchasing inputs to the invoice, module by module
Every step is a standard Odoo module, linked to the next through stock and accounting. Here is what each one does, and what it hands over.
Purchasing inputs
PurchaseRequests for quotation, purchase orders in foreign currency, blanket agreements. Landed costs — freight, forwarding, customs, insurance — are spread over the received lines: the stock entry cost is the real cost, not the invoiced price.
Receiving raw materials
Inventory · BarcodeReceipt checked against the order, lots and expiry dates, weighing, put-away by scanner. Material is valued at average cost or FIFO and the stock entry is posted to the accounts.
Bills of materials and kits
ManufacturingMulti-level bills of materials (finished product ← semi-finished ← materials), variants, by-products, expected scrap per component. Kits are assembled on order or in the workshop: one reference sold, several items taken from stock.
Launching production
Manufacturing · Reordering rulesManufacturing orders come from reordering rules (min / max stock), from a sales order (make to order) or from the schedule. Components reserved, work-centre capacity checked, finish date announced.
Workshops and work orders
Manufacturing · Work centresA routing splits the MO into work orders per work centre: grinding, mixing, reaction, pressing, baking… On the shop-floor tablet the operator starts, pauses, records quantities; real time against planned time, instructions and safety sheets on screen.
Quality control
QualityControl points at receipt, during production and on the finished or semi-finished product: measurement, pass / fail, photo. A failure raises a quality alert, puts the lot in quarantine and blocks its release.
Scrap and losses
Inventory · ManufacturingScrapping a component or a lot from the MO or from stock, to a valued scrap location: the loss is quantified and posted. Scrap rates are read per work centre, per shift, per material.
Packaging
Inventory · ManufacturingPackagings (25 kg bag, box, pallet) and units of measure, returnable packaging tracked at the customer, barcode labels, a packaging MO when bulk becomes a sellable product.
Truck delivery
Inventory · SalesDelivery orders from sales orders, packing and truck loading, partial deliveries, rounds. The stock issue is traced by lot — you know which lot went to which customer.
Invoicing and collection
Sales · AccountingInvoicing on delivery or on order, down payments, Senegalese VAT and BRS, dunning. Sold stock moves to cost of sales: the margin per product and per customer is known the same day.
Cost price and dashboards
Analytic accounting · SenedooReal cost price = materials at entry cost + work-order labour + work-centre overheads. Every morning: output, yield, scrap, margin and cash on a Senedoo dashboard.
Payroll under the industry agreement
Payroll · SenedooCompliant payslips (IR, TRIMF, IPRES, CSS at the plant's accident rate, CFCE), overtime and shift bonuses from attendances, paid leave, payroll ledger, DNS and returns.
