Checks triggered at the right moment, at receipt, in production and before shipping.
Control points come up inside operations: the storekeeper or operator does the check when it is due. An out-of-tolerance measure fails the check; the rejected quantity goes to a failure location and a quality alert can be opened.
What the Quality app does.
Linked to operations (receipt, manufacturing, delivery), a work order operation, products or categories.
Pass - Fail, Measure, Take a Picture, Instructions, Worksheet, Spreadsheet.
Every operation, randomly on a percentage, periodically or on demand (Control Frequency).
One check per operation, per product, or on part of the quantity (Control per, Partial Test).
Norm value and tolerance: out of tolerance, Odoo flags the failure and asks to correct or confirm the measure.
The rejected quantity is sent to a chosen location, for example quarantine (Failure Locations).
Created from the order, the transfer or the tablet: root cause, corrective and preventive actions, team, stages, priority.
A message shown to the operator when the check fails (Message If Failure).

Fictitious example: a moisture reading at the press outlet, target 12%, tolerance ± 1 point.
