Odoo 20 is coming: what we expect from the version unveiled in Brussels on 24 September
Odoo unveils version 20 at Odoo Experience in Brussels, 24–26 September 2026. Our SaaS clients will move to it automatically in the following weeks — with no migration project. Here is what is announced, and what it changes for you.
AI acts, it no longer just answers. Until now the Odoo assistant read and summarised. In version 20 it executes: reassigning leads, initialising a project, running an accounting check, from a natural-language instruction. This is exactly the ground of our MCP server — in the weeks after release we will see what native AI covers and where our tools keep the edge (multi-database, reversibility, local tax).
Accounting. SEPA supplier payments from Odoo, wider reconciliation with automatic adjustment entries, several legal identifiers per vendor. For our OHADA clients the real gain is reconciliation: fewer manual entries at month end.
Payroll. An anticipation dashboard flagging incomplete employee records before the run, direct time-off integration, a guided multi-step validation. Our twenty-nine Senegalese collective agreements will be checked on version 20 before your databases switch.
Mobile and daily use. Redesigned mobile app, calendar synced both ways with Google and Outlook, stronger offline mode — useful on a station or a site without stable network.
Sales and eCommerce. Stock adjustment from the Sales app, automatic cross-selling in the online shop, self-service returns for customers.
Point of sale. Till hardware discovered from the browser and automatic combos — to be validated on our eTIMS-fiscalised tills in Kenya and on Tremol devices.
Under the hood. A new interface generation (Owl 3) and a JSON-2 API for third-party integrations: our connectors (eTIMS bridge, orchestrator, dashboards) will be re-validated on it.
