Time spent, entered on the task, valued and, when needed, invoiced.
Every hour entered on a project carries its cost — the person's hourly cost — and, when the service is sold on time, its price. Timesheets measure progress, cost and revenue at once.
What the Timesheets app does.
Weekly grid, or a timer started from the task; on a computer or a phone.
Each hour belongs to a task: progress against allocated time is computed on its own.
The manager approves the week; approved hours are locked.
Hours × the employee's hourly cost, posted to the project's analytic account.
Depending on the order line: on time, fixed price, milestones, or non-billable.
By employee, project, task, customer; billable hours against hours spent.
